First Night Saranac Lake is an all volunteer not-for-profit organization with a mission to create a family-centered public celebration that marks the passage of time through art and ritual each December 31st. It provides a range of alternative possibilities to traditional New Year’s Eve revelry. It plays a significant role in the social well-being of our community. Marking the New Year in a special way is a human need and is an important occasion for a “peak” experience in our social life. First Night® responds to this need through a shared cultural celebration.
Here are four ways you can support First Night Saranac Lake
• Volunteer to work for two hours at a venues on New Year’s Eve
• Volunteer to be a board member or on a planning committee
• Plan to attend the event and bring your friends
• Make a tax-deductible contribution that will financially support the event
